Best Buy, Or Best Customer Service?

We all have them: cellphones, computers, TVs, iPads and every other type of gadget. They're glued to our hands or by our sides most of the day. Maybe with the exception of the shower. We've become obsessed with electronics. As I'm sitting on my couch writing this blog, a Samsung Galaxy S4 commercial is playing. The employees at Best Buy sure do love electronics and mobile!

One company that encourages the integration of technology into our every day lives is Best Buy. Before reading Chapter 11 of Branded! I did not realize how extensive the customer service tools were for Best Buy customers. A few tools include:
  • The Blue Shirts- sales associates to answering customer questions who are trained and understand product features
  • The Geek Squad- technical support group that builds trust and loyalty in the brand while answering all technological questions customers may have
  • Twelpforce- tool that allows Best Buy employees to listen to customers and actively seek out conversations outside of the other Best Buy channels. Customers who ask questions to @Twelpforce will receive real-time answers
Check out the Twelpforce campaign below!

According to Branded!, Best Buy employees are eager to help all customers within the store and now with the use of mobile tools, customers have access to qualified and educated employees 24/7. In the last decade, people have become impatient when it comes to customer service. We are so use to everything being at our finger tips we don't like waiting hours for answers. Best Buy responds to questions within hours on their Facebook page and almost immediately after inquiries via Twelpforce.

However, one of Best Buy's biggest competitors is Amazon. Recently I was reading a Buzzfeed article with "honest" company logos when this one appeared:

I would have to say I partially fall into the category of people who tries out products in stores and then purchases online. I want to know how you purchase your electronics. Would you rather purchase in stores, or go online?

I also want to know how you feel about walking into a store and having well-trained sales associates at your disposal to ask questions.

So the next time you're in Best Buy, make sure you notice the people in the blue shirts. Ask them any question to see how helpful the associates are with all of your inquiries!

Until next time, stay classy my fellow bloggers.
